Absolute Timestamps Legion 1.1 adds support for "absolute timestamps" (similar to how the concept is implemented in DIS or HLA RPR FOM) allowing fast-moving, high-performance simulations to stay in sync more accurately when they are running on machines with synchronized clocks.
Multicast Support Certain high-bandwidth types of data are better suited to multicast best-effort networking when available (e.g. on a LAN) - including voice and radio traffic. MAK Legion now supports the ability to configure individual data streams to be transported using multicast - providing lower latency, and lower bandwidth usage.
Variable Rate Updates Some engines simulate different entities at different rates - e.g. pattern-of-life background entities may be ticked less frequently than more important military entities. Legion 1.1 gracefully handles engines that implement such optimizations.
API and Object Model Updates Legion 1.1 adds support for Aggregate objects, plus expanded built-in support for VR-Forces extensions, including more DI-Guy attributes, NAVAIDs, and weather and environmental parameters. It also allows easier tuning of dead-reckoning and thresholding parameters.
